Take a moment and savour the breathtaking views from the open heathland
of the Ashdown Forest
in the north of Sussex Country, once a royal hunting ground of Edward
III.
Look east to the High Weald
where picture book villages and rolling countryside abound then
travel southwest and enter the gently undulating landscape of the
Low Weald where the River Ouse tranquilly winds its way
southwards
through peaceful countryside.
Continuing southwards we enter the stunning Cuckmere
Valley, home of the beautiful Seven Sisters Country Park
sitting against a backdrop of spectacular white chalk cliff coast
line.
Our journey ends to the south east in fascinating 1066
Country an area steeped in history; for it is here that
William the Conqueror descended upon England and gathered his troops
before going into battle.
